Secrets to Fighting Heart Disease Symptoms

Heart disease was the number one killer of U.S. citizens in the year 2007, so if your doctor tells you that you have heart disease, you may feel a bit afraid. However, the secret to fighting heart disease is that it is preventable. About 95% of the causes of heart disease can be controlled by simple and healthy lifestyle changes. One of the main ways you can reduce your risk is by quitting smoking. There are many health risks associated with smoking such as high blood pressure and lung cancer, and many of these can raise your risk of getting heart disease.

The second way to lower your risk will send chills up anyone’s spine: dieting! Eating foods that are low in fat and sodium can decrease your blood pressure and your chance of getting atherosclerosis, which can lower your cholesterol, blood pressure, and therefore will lower your risk for heart disease. However, before you cancel all your dinner dates, studies show that the people who eat most healthfully are those who occasionally “cheat” on their diets, and with the advent of “healthy choices” on the menu, you can eat out and still keep in shape.

Stress is also a big factor when it comes to heart disease. However, there are some people who don’t suffer the health problems associated with stress and they actually live off of it. However, for those with heart disease, this can greatly affect your heart. The trick here is stress management. Schedule at least an hour a day just for you. Make it a priority! During this time you can do heart-healthy cardiovascular exercises, read, or even just watch television (hopefully during another time in the day you will have exercised). Take out any person or situation that may be contributing toward any excessive, unnecessary and harmful stress and emotional fatigue. This can be energy draining and worrisome if not taken care of as soon as possible. You can choose to eliminate any problem causing factors from your life.

Just as the mainstream and well known methods of making heart disease disappear are out there for people to take advantage of when they are ready to take control of their lives, so are "secrets" or much lesser known things at our disposal that people can try. I have done a ton of research in the past on things that could help with heart disease, and a lot of it makes some sense. This could include: little known but amazingly effective foods, plants or herbs that reduce heart disease or prevent it altogether quickly and have countless benefits that can directly effect your body and energy, or products and items that no one really knows about that can heal you up faster than you ever thought you was able to. Going on your own adventure toward finding your own "secrets" and unconventional methods for killing heart disease that you can share with the world could prove to be a great step in the right direction to recovery.
